Tourists Center, Museum (ศูนย์บริการนักท่องเที่ยว, พิพิธภัณฑ์) are located at Km. 40 (on highway No. 2090)

Hiking trails (เส้นทางเดินป่า): There are 12 trails open to the public ranging in length from one and a half to eight kilometrs.

Krong Kaew Nature Trail (เส้นทางเดินป่าสายน้ำตกกรองแก้ว): Starts from behind the Visitor Center and is about 1 km. long. The trail is designed to introduce visitors to the most evergreen forest.

Heo Suwat Waterfall (น้ำตกเหวสุวัต) is a waterfall with a 25 m. drop located near the parking. It is very beautiful and popular for the tourists. Heo Suwat is 13 kms away from the tourists center.

Heo Narok Waterfall (น้ำตกเหวนรก) is the biggest beautifull waterfall with a 150 m. drop and 3 floors. It requires a 20 minutes walk with approximately 1 km.

Pa Kuay mai Waterfall (น้ำตกผากล้วยไม้) is approximately 9 kms. away from the tourists venter and requires a 1.5 km. walk. The sight seeing of this area is very beautiful and it has a variety of different species of orchids. One of the species of orchid that is seen in general is "Wai Daeng" (Dendrobium).

Nong Pakchee Wildlife Watch-Tower (หอดูสัตว์หนองผักชี) a 20 m. tall tower, is approximately 2 kms. away from the tourists center and requires a 1 km. walk from the Highway. From this area, the tourists can see the wildlife include deer, wild hogs and oxen, elephants and others. Tourists cannot stay overnight here. They can stay until 6 pm. (except for the tourists who have permission to enter from the Forestry Department.

Khao Luk Chang Bat Cave (ถ้ำค้างคาวที่เขาลูกช้าง) located 6 kms. from the park's north entrance. This cave is home to hundreds of thousands of bats which can be seen streaming out of the cave each evening at dusk.

Animal Watching with a spotlight (การส่องไฟดูสัตว์) This activity is very popular. The tourists center of Forestry Department can make arrangements for jeep to look for animals.

The tourists who want to stay overnight at Khao Yai must make an advance reservation at the national Park Division, Forestry Department, bangkok. Tel. 02-561 4292 or tourists Service Senter, Khao Yai National Park, P.O. Box 9, Amphoe Pakchong. Tel. 037-319002, 02-2353414-21 ext. 7112714.

How to get to Khao Yai National Park (from nakhon Ratchasima): Take Bangkok bus No. 21 from the Terminal II and get off at Pak CHong district. Bus leaves every 30 minutes from 01.00-24.00 hrs. then take a mini-bus from Pak Chong Market No. 1317 leaves every 30 minutes from 06.00-18.00, bus stop at Check Point. Tourist have to hire a mini-bus continue to the park about 20 kms.

Wat Thepphitak Punnaram (วัดเทพพิทักษ์ปุณณาราม) to reach Wat Theppitak located at Khao (mount) Sisiad Ah of Ban Klang Dong village, turn right at the 150-km. market og Highway No. 2 (Mittraphap Road), then proceed on for another 2 kilometers an asphat road leads to the temple.

Wat Thepphitak is home to a large, while Buddha statue with a lap width of 27.25 meters and is 45 meters and is 45 meters tall. Consecrated as the "Buddha Sakolsima Mongkol" but commonly refered to as Luang Poh Khao, it is cast of reinforced concrete and sited some 112 meters above ground level on the hilltop. There are two stepped paths to the statue from the left and from the right laid out in the shape of Bhoti leaf. The total of 1,250 steps signify the number of his followers who assembled on Maka Buja Day without prior notice; the elevation of 112 meters or 56 Wa of the statue refers to the 56 goodnesses of Buddhism; the high of 45 meters means the number of years Buddha spent in teaching the people after he had attained enlightennent.

The Klang Dong Fruit Market (ตลาดผลไม้กลางดง) The most famous fruit at the market is the custard apple which is available almost all year round but specially plentiful during July-August. The fruit comes in many strains including Fai, Nang and Australian.

National Maize and Sorghum Research Center (ศูนย์วิจัยข้างโพดและข้าวฟ่างแห่งชาติ) located at Km. 155 on the Mittraphap Highway, it is a facility under the kasetsart University engaged in research, training and dissemination of agricultural techniques and technology since 1965.

Commonly known as Rai Suwan, today is offers agro-tour for visitors who are interested in eco-tourism, trekking and agricultural technology studies. Covering an area of some 2,300 Rai, it is fenced in by mountains which still retain perfect environment, habital to served wildlife including monkeys, pheasants, wild fowls and squirrels. There are accommodation facilities and food for family or large group of tourists. The Center also arranged sight-seeing programs to see its activities.
